6 white is still working on dividing decimals.  Yesterday and today we worked on terminating and repeating decimals and fractions.  Homework tonight is the dividing integers skills sheet 7 - 15

6 White started Inv 3.2  Focusing on patterns of division.  Homework due Monday is ACE 16, 18 pg 43

6 White finished Inv 3.2 today.  We practiced moving decimal places to turn our division problems into whole numbers.  Homework tonight is ACE 7 - 12, 15, 17 pg 43.  Students do not need to divide with fractions, instead, change the decimals to whole numbers and divide.

6 White completed Inv 3.1 over dividing decimals.  Homework due tomorrow is ACE 1-4 pg 43

6 White finished Inv 2.4 today, we explored how the decimal places in factors affects the products decimal place.  Homework tonight is ACE 27, 32 pg 30 and Reflection pg 35

6 White started Inv 2.4 today.  We will finish Inv 2.4 tomorrow.  Reflection pg 35 in complete sentences is due Thursday!

6 White completed Inv 2.3.  Homework tonight is ACE 13, 14 pg 28.  Must show all work!

Today we launched Inv 2.3 and graded out multiplying decimals ACE.  Some students need to redo this assignment.

Today we went out to eat at Larry's Lunch Cafe!  :) Student simulated going out to eat with their friends, totaled their bill, added tax and tip, then split the cost between their groups!  All that with no calculators!  We will finish 4.2 tomorrow.

We finished Inv 2.1.  Homework tonight is ACE 1-12.  Student do not need to estimate, I want the exact product! Students must show work to get full credit.

6 White is still working on Inv 2.1, today we learned how we can use fractions to help us multiply decimals.  Homework tonight is 20 minutes of ALEKS.

6 White started their first Investigation of Bits and Pieces III.  They did really well on their pretest so we are jumping right into Investigation 2, which focuses on multiplying decimals.

6th grade did not have math today due to their field trip!

6 White started the AN test today, we had shortened classes today because on Ambassadors, so we will finish them Friday (6th grade has a field trip tomorrow!)

6 White used their class time yesterday and today working on the Accentuate the Negative study guide.  The study guide is due tomorrow and the Accentuate the negative test is tomorrow.

6 White completed Accentuate the Negative!  Today we took a pretest over BPIII.  Homework for the week is get on ALEKS 5 times for 15 minutes!
** Many 6th white class members are not taking advantage of redoing their homework assignments with low scores!  Check assignment notebooks to see if there is a Redo note from me!

6 White finished Inv 3.2 over multiplying integers.  Homework tonight is ACE 4 (I originally assigned 26 as well, but it's not in the packet!) don't forget the Love/Hate rule!

6 While starting Inv 3.2, multiplying integers.  Homework for the weekend is 30 minutes of ALEKS!

6 White finished their open note quiz over Inv 2.  We also passes back a lot of graded homework assignments, which can be found in the homework sections of their binders.  Tomorrow we will start multiplying integers!

6 White finished Inv 2.  Today we focused on Inv 2.5, four quadrant graphing.  Homework tonight is ACE 17-20 pg 35.  These are multiple choice problems, but you must find the answer to all 4 (a-d) to see which problem has a different solution.  Also, many students need to redo ACE 15 & 16

6 White did not have class today because of P2K.  So  ACE 15 & 16 pg 33 due date has been extended to Tuesday!

6 White practiced writing addition sentences as subtraction sentences and subtraction sentences as addition sentences.  It's all about "keep change change"  Homework tonight is ACE 15 & 16 pg 33 due Monday.

6 White finished Inv 2.2 over subtracting integers.  Homework due tomorrow is ACE 6 (a-i), 8, 13 pg 33 in their packet.

6 White continued working with subtracting integers.  Homework tonight is to finish the worksheet #11-20 due tomorrow.

6 White started Inv 2.2 over subtracting integers.  Homework is an integers worksheet #1-10.  Remember Keep Change Change!

6 White worked on adding integers the week.  Homework due Monday is ACE 1 (a-i) and 2 pg 32 of the 2nd Accentuate the negative packet.  Calculators may NOT be used!

6 white finished their lesson over writing equations.  They did such a great job!  Homework for the weekend is 30 minutes of ALEKS!

6 White is still working on writing equation.  Today we wrote rules for linear equations.   Students learned a little more about variables today, so I extended the Variables worksheet due date to tomorrow.  Homework tonight is to check over the Variables worksheet and 15 minutes of ALEKS

6 White worked on writing equations today.  Homework due Thursday is a variables worksheet due Thursday.

6 White completed Inv 1.3 of AN.  We worked on writing addition number sentences with integers.  Homework tonight is ACE 20-29 (must write number sentences in Start + Change = Ending)

6 White finished Inv 1.2 of AN.  Homework for the weekend is ACE 11, 39, 45 pg 16 and 30 Minutes of ALEKS.

6 White started Accentuate the Negative.   It's a chapter in the 7th grade book, but was moved to 6th grade standards.  I copied the 7th grade book so students will be using packets instead of their books.  Homework tonight 5, 12-19 pg 16 in their packets (please do on a separate sheets of paper) and 15 minutes of ALEKS.
