Middle school did a pretty good job turning in their first homework assignments.  There were only 4 out of all 125 middle school students!  Keep it up, and let's all try for 0 late homeworks.

Today we practiced note taking and reviewed concepts from last year.  The notes taken in today's class will help with the homework, so binders should go home tonight.  

All classes pages are updated!  Every class has a homework assignment.  When checking your child's assignment notebook tonight, they should have something written in the math section! 

Monday - First Quiz

All classes took their first quiz today! Ask your child how they did and what type of questions were asked! :)
We also finished math vocab.  Tomorrow all classes will start review, note taking, and homework!  Class pages will start being updated tomorrow!

Weekend homework

Enjoy a math-homework free weekend!  This is a rare occurrence! :)

All class worked on their first vocab assignment.  We discussed the difference between a good definition and a bad definition.  We will finish vocab on Monday! There are no posting on class pages!

Thursday

Tomorrow is Faith Filled Friday.  Ambassadors are allowed to wear their Faith in Actions shirts.

Yesterday, all classes were asked to view the blog for homework.  There was a special message left on each class page.  There were only about 3-4 students from each class who visited the blog and completed the task.  Congrats to 7 White for the most participation!  Please check the blog daily! 

All classes organized their binders today!  There is no homework tonight.  Class pages do not have an update.  Homeroom page has been updated!

Wednesday

Tomorrow all classes are organizing their binders.  This will be a step by step process to get year off right.  Please check the class pages and homeroom page for updates! 

First Full Day!

I hope your child had a great first full day because I sure did!!

All the classes filled out an Interest Inventory today, they are due tomorrow.  Some students needed to get work/cell numbers or e mail addresses from parents. 

Students also got their math text books.  These books MUST be covered by the end of the week.  Math supplies; 2 in Binder, at least 6 dividers, loose paper, graph paper (7th and 8th only) and scientific calculators (7th and 8th only) are due Thursday.  We will be using class time to get organized in a uniformed fashion! :)

We spent the rest of the class time getting to know each other!  Tomorrow we will go over class procedures and expectations!

Summer Aleks!

Hello Parents,
Don't forget, Aleks is an excellent tool to keep your child's math mind fresh over the summer.  Just 15 Minutes 3 times a week will help keep your child on track, and ready for the start of the school year!  I will be checking Aleks usage over the summer, and possibly moving students up in grade level based on their summer performance!  Please feel free to e mail me with any questions.

Sorry there haven't been many updates this week.  Middle School has been Benchmark Testing with me in the computer lab.  Hopefully, we will resume normal classes Monday.
