Note for Choir students!

Choir is going on a field trip tomorrow.  All choir students need to turn in their homework assigned tonight before leaving for the field trip.  Check the class pages for assignments due tomorrow!

We are still experiencing server problems at Holy Spirit.  Teachers do not had e mail or Internet access.

International Fest

7th grade had a GREAT time at the Indy International fest!

Reminders!

Tomorrow 7th grade will be going to the International Fest during the day!  All they need is extra spending money, and students need to be in their uniforms!

Advent Activity books went home today with the Oldest/Only children.

Progress Reports

Progress Reports are Friday!  Make sure you have your login and password to the on line grade book.  Grades are available to view at all times, not just progress report and report card time! We will not be sending out paper copies of progress reports.

Don't forget to remind your child to get on ALEKS as much as possible.  This is an excellent educational tool that meets your child's individual needs.

As mentioned at back to school night (and many times in class) 8 grade needs a scientific calculator for the new chapter Growing Growing Growing.

"Home"work

Please remember what was discussed at conferences.  Just because a child does not have an assignment to "turn in"  does not mean they don't have work to do.  Use your child's ISP's and Smart Goals as part of their homework.  Aleks was brought up in may smart goals and should be used especially when your child does not have ACE.  Check your class page for updates!

Almost Friday!

Tomorrow is a No Conduct/No Uniform reminder dress out day for Middle School.  Please be sure your child is still wearing the appropriate dress out attire.  All students need to be in pants (jeans, sweats, etc) and close toe, close heal shoes. 

When checking your child's class page, remember, if there is no assigned ACE, students can still work on ALEKS or their smart goals for math!

Aleks is BACK!

We have been waiting to start ALEKS back up because subscriptions were expiring.  I have just updated accounts and passwords.  To help prevent the "I forgot my password" epidemic, all student passwords are the same as their ALEKS logins.  We will be using the next two days to go to the lab, establish our new logins and passwords and work on new assessments.  Students will have their accounts ready to use right before fall break! :)

Also, the PE blog link is now posted under my "Check It Out"  links!

What a great Spirit Week!  Tonight is the Harvest Hoedown, hope to see you there! 

The $3 jeans day money is now due Monday!  Please send in $3 if you child is planning on dressing out.

Finished ISP Friday!

Out of 110 middle school students I only have 9 more ISP's for math to finish!  YAY!  All the classes have been very cooperative while doing one-on-one's.  The goals are fantastic and student's can't wait to share them at conferences! 

Conference time's were sent home today, please ask your child for their conference forms. 

Tomorrow is Green and Gold day and $3 to dress out Monday is due tomorrow.

We Dress Nice Wednesday!

I loved seeing the kids all dressed up!  Everyone looked so nice.  Tomorrow is College Sports day, all students can wear jeans and a college t shirt or sweatshirt!  Please check the class pages for updates.  We are working hard on out ISP's and the kids are working independently while we do one-on-ones. 

Monday! PJ Day!

Great first day of spirit week!  I know i really enjoyed wearing my PJ's today.  Tomorrow is Hat Day.  Students need to come to school in their uniforms and may not exchange hats.

End of the Quarter is Near!

Friday is the end of the quarter!  Please keep checking the on line grade book.  All students should know where they stand in all their classes before report cards/student lead conferences. 

All grades will be working on their Smart Goals this Friday.  We will have one-on-one's Wednesday through Friday working on Individual Success Plans!
