Student Appreciation Day

Today was student appreciation day, all assignments are due Wednesday!  Congrats to Jake Okerson for winning the Saints challenge for the day! Please check the class pages for updates.

2011 Catholic Schools Week Essay contest forms went home with each child today.  Essay's are due 2/7/11.

Registration and payment forms are out.  Please fill out and return to the office.

Great Field Trip

IT was an excellent day at JA Finance Park.  Ask your child what they learned today.  Thank you to the parent volunteers who helped out.  Please check the class pages for assignments due tomorrow!

Holy Spirit did not have Internet today.  If any e mails were sent, please allow a day or two for a reply! :) Hopefully we will be back up and running tomorrow.  Tomorrow is the JA Finance Park field trip for 7th and 8th grade!  All homework assigned today is due Friday (except late work).  Check class pages for assignments.

6th grade Parents,
I'm a little concerned with a few grades in both Green and Gold classes.  Grades are a little low.  This time of year, students tend to let some of their effort slip.  All students are welcome to come in during homeroom and at the end of the day to ask questions on ACE.  Please check the online grade book to see how your child is doing in class.

 

I'm Back!

Thank you so much for all the kind words and prayers.  It was an excellent day back!  Ms. Mills did a great job reviewing ISTEP skills with all classes, and the Middle School students were excellent!

Update

Just wanted to give every body an update...
I will not be at school the rest of the week and part of next week.  I am leaving tomorrow for Arkansas to be with my family and grandmother.  Thank you all for your prayers and concerns.

All ACE and homework assignments will not be due tomorrow.  I will collect homework after I get back.

Monday!

Today is the last day for 7th and 8th grade working on JA in math class. Miss Martin is starting Unit 2 with 7th and 8th grade this week.  All students need to bring their math materials to class tomorrow. 
 

First week back

I hope every one had a wonderful first week back after break!  There were a lot of awards given out today to Middle School students for their achievements in 2nd quarter.  Report card grades are post on line.  All Class pages have new updates for weekend assignments.

7th and 8th grade continued JA unit 1, Using Credit - A big Decision. 

Wednesday

7th and 8th grade are moving along on their JA lessons.  Today we looked at the advantages and disadvantages of credit cards and played the "Gotta Have It" game.  Ask your child if they made good credit decisions!

Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break! 
Report card grade will be posted on line Friday 1/7.  Please continue to check the online grade book and e mail me with questions or cancers.
7th and 8th grade will be spending the week learning about Financial Institutions.  There will not be much homework assigned in math, so please have you child get on ALEKS!

2 more days!

Tomorrow and Friday will be one day split into two.  Middle school will be watching a movie tomorrow after lunch.  I will be meeting with both 6th grades and 8 Gold.  We will be finishing up benchmarking and working on ALEKS.  I will be leaving for Hawaii :)  tomorrow afternoon and will not be here Friday!  I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Christmas break!  Please try to get on ALEKS a few times over break to keep math skills fresh! 

4 More days!

There have been some issues with students stealing milk in the cafe during lunch time.  If a student is caught they will receive a conduct notice and will have a lunch detention with the teachers on duty the following day. 

7 grade is still benchmarking!  Hopefully everyone will be finished by the end of the week. 

I will not be at school Thursday afternoon and Friday.  I am leaving for Hawaii to visit my brother, dad and nephew for Christmas! :)  I will be posting on the class pages up til Thursday!

Thanks again to everyone that participated in the Joyful Friday and St. Elizabeth's Home service project!

Tomorrow is a dollar jeans day for all students to help raise money for St. Elizabeth's home and other families in need during the Christmas Season.  There has been a small amount of participation in 7th grade towards our St. Elizabeth's home service project.  Miss Pelle's homeroom is collecting arts and crafts supplies and books.  The deadline for this service project is Friday.

7th grade is still benchmarking during Math class, there will be no ACE or grades posted.  Please have your child get on ALEKS at home while benchmarking.

Just as a reminder, 7th grade will benchmarking during math class, so they will not have ACE for the next couple days (there may not be many grade postings on the online grade book).  Please make sure your child gets on ALEKS to fulfill their math "homework" needs.
